Our Legacy Awards Gallery
At RF Products, we are very proud of the many awards we receive. Below are some of our legacy awards that show our decades-long historical performance. Due to the proprietary status of our more recent and current programs and customers, more recent awards are provided in our sales proposals. We don’t consider the work we did to receive these awards as exceptional performance. At RF Products we accept these awards are recognition for what we consider normal performance by the RF Products’ employee team.
1981 – Program: E-3A AWACS Aircraft and E-4 NEACP Aircraft
Customer: Boeing.
For our performance within our first year as a small business, RF Products receives Boeing Honorable Mention as Small Business Supplier of the Year Award for our performance in 1980.
1982 – Program: E-3A AWACS Aircraft and E-4 NEACP Aircraft
Customer: Boeing.
In our first 2 years as a small business after the inner-management buyout from TRW, in 1982 RF Products received the Boeing President’s Award for Outstanding Support of Boeing Programs. For 1981. It was no small feat to accomplish this level of customer support and contract performance while also reorganizing the entire business during and after the buyout from TRW.
1982 – Program: E-3A AWACS Aircraft
Customer: Boeing.
RF Products recognized for 10 years of performance on the E-3A team.
1982 – Program: All US DoD
Customer: All US Government.
After only 3 years as a small business after the inner-management buyout from TRW, RF Products is awarded Subcontractor of the Year for performance on all of our US DoDcontracts (for example, the USAF Rivet Switch Ground ATC program). RF Products is a Small Business located in a HUB Zone.
1983 – Program: E-3A AWACS Aircraft and E-4 AABNCP Aircraft
Customer: Boeing.
Proving that our identical award in 1982 was not a fluke, in 1983 RF Products again receives Boeing’s President’s Award for Outstanding Support of Boeing Programs, as a small business in 1982.
1985 – E-3A AWACS Aircraft
Customer: Boeing.
RF Products wins 1984 Outstanding Subcontractor Award for:
- Schedule Performance.
- Responsiveness.
- Product Quality.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives.
1986 – All contracts
Customer: N/A
Award from a supplier of our workforce.
At RF Products it’s not just about our customers. It’s also about the community in which we work and live. This is an Employer of the Year award for our work in 1984-1985, which we received in 1986. This is typical of many similar awards received over the decades by RF Products for support of the development of the local workforce.
1995 – Program: E-3A AWACS Aircraft
Customer: Boeing.
RF Products receives Special Recognition for 25 Years of Service on the E-3 AWACS team. We considered declining this award because it made us feel like we were getting old, also because there’s a dangling preposition in the last sentence.
1996 – Program: Joint STARS Aircraft
Customer: Northrop Grumman.
RF Products is recognized for being the first subcontractor to complete all qualification tests plus delivery ahead of the production schedule. We also reduced Northrop Grumman Program Management costs and program risk.
2002 – E-3A AWACS Aircraft
Customer: Boeing.
RF Products recognized for being in the Top 100 Suppliers to Boeing. Boeing thanks RF Products’ employees for “commitment, dedication, and expertise” to achieve 100% product acceptance rate. Originally, Boeing planned to host an event for 100 top suppliers in Seattle in October 2001, but this was postponed and then cancelled due to the terrorist attacks in the USA on September 11, 2001. Sadly and ironically a reminder of why RF Products is dedicated to providing the best mission capability to the USA Warfighters.
2002 – Joint STARS Aircraft
Customer: Northrop Grumman.
RF Products wins World Class Team Award for Outstanding Support as a Northrop Grumman Team Member.
2002-2003 – USN Fleetwide OA-9123/SRC Shipboard UHF Multicoupler
Customer: SPAWAR, San Diego.
Part of our expertise in supporting Prime Contractors comes from performing as a Prime Contractor ourselves. About half of our business has always been as a Prime Contractor to the Government, and these orders included a large $10 to $20 million multi-year contracts. As an example, in 2002 and 2003, RF Products was recognized by SPAWAR as a Top 50 Small Business Prime Contractor.
2003 – Program: Replacement of UHF Tunable Filter Systems on all USAF E-3 AWACS Aircraft
Customer: Lockheed Martin.
RF Products receives “Superb Job Well Done” letter in recognition of our proposal support in management, technology, and teamwork in the analysis of the historical technical concerns and development of the best overall solution for the radio system.
