On January 15, 2022 the island nation of Tonga was hit by a volcano eruption and resulting tsunami. Preliminary data indicate that the event was probably the largest volcanic eruption in the 21st century, and the largest recorded since the 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo. NASA determined that the eruption was 500 times more powerful than the nuclear bomb used in World War 2. Tsunami waves up to 49 feet high hit Tonga. Salt water from the tsunami contaminated water supplies, ash damaged crops and prevented aircraft from landing on runways to deliver supplies and aid. (www.reuters.com)

RF PRODUCTS, INC. (RFPinc), in Camden, New Jersey announced today that it received notice that the HMAS FFH-150 ANZAC ship has been fully accepted by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) for the upgrades which included RFPinc’s complete VHF/UHF Multi-Mode, Multi-Band RF Distribution System (M3B RFD) with RFD Remote-control Digital Dashboard (R2D2TM) for the RAN SEA 1442 Phase 4 Project.
